Learning Goal

Since I was absent last Monday, I'm thinking this may or may not be correct.

I can understand how an author uses specific word choices to impact the reader.
Criteria
  1. I can define figurative language.
  2. I can define examples of figurative language (simile, metaphor, onomatopoeia, alliteration,
      hyperbole, personification, imagery.
  3. I can find examples of figurative language.
  4. I can analyze the impact of figurative language.

  1. Whitney,
I feel the way that they want us to do learning goals and success criteria was done accurately on the one you had on your white board. You had the learning objective, and then you had the success criteria posted under it (in 2 sections). The learning objective had what the student was to understand when the lesson was over, and the success criteria was broken down into smaller chunks for the student to accomplish. You used words like analyze, describe, identify - these are all measurable goals. I just wanted to say that I thought that was the closest, if not "head on", of what M. Heritage was looking for.
